The Kailash

A tranquil depiction of the divine family of Kailash – the abode of truth and bliss. One does not see the great magnificent deities or vanquishers of terrible demons but a tiny intimate family anchored around a loving couple.

A family where the parents are far from conventional, the siblings are polar opposites and the home – an inhospitable icy mountain. Yet contentment and bliss reign supreme.

Perhaps true wisdom and happiness lies in accepting and celebrating each other’s differences and circumstances. It is then that Ganesh’s mouse, Shiva’s serpent and Kartika’s peacock prance together as Nandi and the Goddess’s lion look on.
