This painting presents the Taladhwaja of Santiniketan as a, sacred presence rendered in the lyrical restraint of the Bengal School. The circular thatched structure stand like a humble shrine-rooted in the earth yet open to all-encircled by soft luminous spirals of cloud that evoke a contemplative stillness.
From its crown rises the palm, transforming into a stylised bird-like form that recalls Tagore’s vision of the soul as free, wind-borne, and unbound. Through this gentle transfiguration, the modest structure becomes a symbol of spiritual ascent-where learning and nature are held together.
